Miss Dagaati Girl came about when a colleague and a friend who fondly calls me “Wa Girl” ( the town I was born and raised) mentioned in a joke that she would repatriate me back to Wa. In a moment of laughter, I thought to myself MissWaGirl sounds “instagrammable” but to avoid any conflicting representation of being a pageant title holder, I decided to go with Miss Dagaati Girl..
Miss Dagaati Girl (MDG) goes by the name Sheila Sherifa Amadu in real life, born and raised in Wa, Upper West region of Ghana. I am 50% Dagao, a tribe in the Upper West region of Ghana and 50% Mamprusi from the Northern region, I am silent on the Mamprusi half of me because I grew up among Dagaabas and Waalas so I feel more Dagao/Waala
I had my basic education in the Upper West Region, Secondary school education at Our Lady of Apostles’ Girls High School Kenyasi. I hold a B.A in Integrated Development Studies from UDS Wa campus and an MBA from Hult International Business School Dubai campus. I am banking professional.
I am a multi-faceted and determined entrepreneur, innately a fashionista and a beauty lover. My style persona is classy, fun, feminine and quite eclectic.
